What is the meaning of life?
I have no religious affiliation, but my mother always told me to be kind, courteous and friendly whenever I met someone new.
Having been born during the depression, I soon learned how tough it was for my family and their friends, to be able to have faith in God, and that he would make sure that all of the people who live on earth, no matter their religion, would come through all of the woes, and have a happier life, so long as they treated everyone with dignity.
My oldest grandson asked me (what) it felt to be 100 years old, and I told him that from the chin up I think I was doing okay, but the rest of me is about shot! His next question was if I could tell in two words, what is it that makes you happy.
I thought for a moment…maybe still being alert? Maybe lucky enough to be in fairly good health?
Then it dawned on me that the true meaning in life for me is simply INTEGRITY and HUMOR. If one is straight and true, and have plenty of laughs along the way that’s all it takes.
