What is the meaning of life?

I don’t believe in any overreaching, defining entity.  A god named God or Science with an initial capital.  The large Hadron Collider will never provide a meaning of life or, make that, The Meaning of Life.  We’re just inside a meaningless universe—without an initial capital.

So given the absence of meaning and in particular a caring god named God, we should, I believe, take care of each other.  We are the huddled masses.  Yearning for meaning.

I would like to be able to say that being kind gives life meaning, but I don’t believe that to be True.  Rather, it’s the absence of meaning that simply requires kindness.

I attempt to live that way.
