What is the meaning of life?
Your question “What is the meaning of life?” is timely in that I have been thinking a lot recently of the great Jackie Robinson, who I had the honor to be with on several occasions—including his last public appearance at the 1972 World Series in Cincinnati.
I think I can best answer the question you present by a quote from Jackie:
“A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.”
Thus, to paraphrase, the meaning of life is to for each of us to live our lives in a way that benefits our fellow man and our society and to show love, compassion and the consideration for others as we go about our daily tasks.
